š£ļø Reach Out & Connect
10 minutes
What it is
A practice of sharing your experience with someone you trust to remind yourself you're not alone.
When to use it
- When you're feeling isolated or ashamed
- When you're stuck in the feeling that "no one else struggles like this"
- After a setback or rough stretch
How to do it
- Choose someone you trustāa friend, coach, hiking partner, religious or spiritual group, or support group. Even just an online search or group can help.
- Share a little about what you're going through. You don't need to go into every detailājust enough to be honest and open.
- Notice how they respond. Often, people will say "I've felt that too," or offer understanding that reminds you: you're not the only one.
- Let that connection sink in. Even just one "me too" moment can ease the weight of isolation.
