🌿 Simple Loving-Kindness Meditation

1 to 5 minutes

You don't need to be sitting in stillness to do this. You can practice while walking:

  1. Start with a deep breath in and out. Notice how you feel. Take a second to cultivate a feeling of warmth, kindness, and love.
  2. Silently (or even out loud) repeat:
    May I be safe. May I be happy. May I be healthy. May I be strong. May I be peaceful.
  3. Begin to offer those same wishes to others:
    • A loved one or family
    • A close friend
    • Someone neutral
    • Someone you're having difficulty or conflict with (if you feel ready)
    • A group of people
    • All beings everywhere (or the whole world)
  4. To close your practice, you can use this quote from Marissa Cranfill at: www.yoqi.com
    "I am in the Universe and the Universe is in me. May I be blessed and filled with Qi. May all beings be happy. May all beings be free. May all beings be blessed and filled with Qi."

You can close out this simple meditation by repeating:
"I trust myself and I trust life"
